Latest Features
The new main features from QuickMark v3.8 are fully accessible in v3.8 Advanced, but can be reviewed on a limited trial basis in v3.8 Standard. The latest features are focused on providing additional flexibility for end users who are interested in commercial use of the QuickMark application.

Commercial licenses are required to upgrade v3.8 Standard to v.3.8 Advanced and can be purchased from our website.

1D Barcode Support
The performance and user experience of 1D barcode recognition will depend heavily on the device’s lens capability. Auto and/or Macro focus is highly recommended.

If the 1D barcode cannot be recognized for any reason, the end user also has the option to manually input the 1D barcode data.

Redirect Settings
End users will be able to configure the URL used to lookup information corresponding to the scanned 1D barcode.

For example, the end user may add a redirect URL of http://www.google.com/search?q= and set it as the default redirect address. Future scans of 1D barcodes will then allow the user to open up the browser to access the specified URL with the 1D barcode content appended, such as http://www.google.com/search?q=9784567890123.

End users may configure a maximum of 5 redirect URLs and set 1 as the default. Redirect URLs can be added by scanning a 2D barcode of the URL.

The scanned results of 2D barcodes may also be configured to use the redirect settings.

QuickMark API
QuickMark API allows 3rd party applications to call an already installed QuickMark v3.8 Advanced application for barcode decoding purposes. The decoded result is returned to the caller application for further processing.
