To promote the usage of these decals, Google & QuickMark have partnered to offer free QuickMark downloads for iPhone, for the first 40,000 downloads starting today Monday, December 7.

QuickMark v3.8.5 released! New QuickList feature provides free online storage for your 1D barcode data! (2009-12-04)

Have you ever wanted to keep track of where you have spent your money but always seems to forget? Or do you often find interesting products or books that you want to research later but can not quite find the exact one when you get home? Well, if you have a recent smartphone, a solution may not be far away.

A simple way to keep such records is by creating lists that reference to specific items by their barcode numbers. Just install the latest QuickMark application and start scanning away. Your scanned barcodes can be uploaded to our [QuickList] web service for further applications.

Using QuickList is very straight forward, here we will use the QuickList standalone app for the Android platform (hTC Magic) as an example:

1. Once QuickList is installed, locate the QuickList icon on your device and press it to begin.

2. There are 3 options in the main screen. For uploading scanned results a QuickMark account is required, but you can start scanning right away and sign up later.

3. To scan a 1D barcode, center the barcode within the viewfinder.

4. The decoded result in the example is: 4718050835379 and you can add some comments or notes to it.

5. Save your scan result and scan another barcode. 50 records can be saved locally.

6. If you have already set up your QuickMark account, you can upload your barcode list to the QuickList website. The upload time may vary depending on your available internet connection (e.g. Wi-Fi, 3G) and number of records being uploaded.

7. Unregistered users can sign up via our mobile sign up page. Previously scanned data can be stored locally until you are ready to upload them.

9. Once the data is uploaded, you can examine it with your mobile browser.

10. For detailed organizing of your data, login to the QuickList website to edit, tag, or export all of your collected data.
